Course Information

This course will enable you to work with the following Nail enhancements:
  • Acrylic Nail Application
  • Gel Nail Application
  • Overlays
  • Gel Polish
  • Nail Art
The course also includes Eye Treatments:
  • Eyelash Tinting
  • Eyebrow Tinting
  • Eyebrow Shaping
  • Occasional Lash Application
This City & Guilds certified course will enable you to work as a self-employed mobile therapist, in a Salon, Spa or similar environment.

Please note there are materials required for this course

Materials cost is approx. €300 :
  • Acrylic Nail Brush €50 good one, buy cheap you buy twice
  • Gel Brush €20
  • Acrylic Starter Kit €100
  • Gel Starter Kit with lamp €100

Progression

Successful completion of the course will provide students with the opportunity to progress onto further education/training including Beauty Therapy QQI Level 5.

Entry Requirements

All applicants are required to be screened prior to placement. A high level of English language and an interest in developing a career in Beauty Therapy is required for the course.

Certification

Diploma in Beauty Therapy City & Guilds Level 2.

Attendance

This course is part-time over one year (32 weeks), one morning per week.

Eligibility

This course is funded under BTEI funding. In order to be eligible, applicants must be:

  • an Early School leaver, and/or
  • in receipt of a Social Protection Payment, and/or
  • have a GP or Medical Card
  • Signing for Credits

Location

This course takes place in Balbriggan.
